Six Flags Offers Kids a Dream Cut
Generations of kids might not have dreaded getting a haircut if Six Flags' latest brand innovation had been around. Six Flags Rollercoaster Cuts, an innovative haircutting experience for kids, has opened in the West Hartford Blue Back Square in West Hartford, Connecticut.
Each cutting station is themed and features custom-built coaster seats and flat-screen televisions showing videos of Six Flags rides and attractions, as well as a variety of video games. Customers have the option of sitting up straight or lying flat on their backs while watching point-of-view camera angles of Six Flags' biggest roller coaster drops. Six Flags characters, including the company's marketing mascot, Mr. Six, greet children at the salon.
Every haircut includes a free "ride" photo to mark the experience. Customers can purchase one-day tickets and season passes to Six Flags Great Adventure, The Great Escape and Splashwater Kingdom, Six Flags New England, and Six Flags Great Escape Lodge and Indoor Waterpark.
"Rollercoaster Cuts is redefining the Six Flags experience," said Mike Antinoro, Six Flags' executive vice president of entertainment and marketing. "What can sometimes be a dreaded, yet necessary, obligation for kids turns into an environment of fun, thrills, and excitement that is the Six Flags brand." Find out more at
